Black Friday passed not too long ago. We are full swing into the holiday season. Ever year, I'm reminded of the one element of the human condition which continues to blossom as the years pass: The want for material goods. ![]() Al Reis created the term "positioning" in the advertising industry in the 70's. A few years ago, he wrote a new guidebook called The Death of Advertising and the Rise of PR. In it, he explains that as humans, we are bombarded by messaging to the point where we have learned to ignore it. Ads no longer work.
I'm at work on my new album. It's going well. It's different.
Below, you'll find a piece I've worked on called False Prophets. I'm offering it up to you to remix as you please and submit it for consideration to be included on my next album. I have a cool guest list of people appearing on my album, some greats. I'd like to give someone a chance to see their name next to a hero or two on a project.
If you've got it in you, remix the song and create your own vid. Send me what you make via the2shanti [at] gmail [dot] com. I look forward to hearing your creations. You can download the track and the acapella free using the player below. Enjoy.
Update: If you can't download the acapella from the widget try this link: http://brooklynshanti.bandcamp.com/album/false-prophets-digi-12
